After our decision

You will receive a letter and a portal message in to ‘My Application’ from us with details of our decision. If we have decided to offer you a place our offer letter will include an acceptance form which you should return as soon as possible to indicate if you wish to accept our offer or not. Your offer may be conditional on your completing a current course of study or achieving a specified English language level. However, you should return the acceptance form anyway and then send the results from your exams as soon as they are available. (Please note we request English Language tests to be taken at an early date so that the results can be sent to us by the 31 May. This will also give you a chance to sign up for our Pre-Sessional courses if you underscore on your English Language test).

If your offer is conditional please do not wait to meet the condition before you return your acceptance form.

If you decide to accept your place with us, you will want to know when your course starts, what to bring with you and lots of other details. Do not worry – we will send you a Starter Pack during the summer which will give you all the information you need to get ready for your first days with us. In the meantime you might want to use the following checklist to make sure you are on track with preparing for your start here:

What next ?
(Use this list to tick off each step as you complete it).

Reply to your offer by returning acceptance form attached to your Offer Letter. If you applied through UCAS, please make sure that you accept the offer by using UCAS Track as well.

When you are sent details of the Accommodation Pack (usually by the end of April) choose whether to apply for a place to live in our halls of residence, check out AUCB Studentpad website or register for an Accommodation Day. Please note that Halls Application deadline is 25 May 2012.

If you apply for a place in the halls of residence check you have received your contract, signed it and returned it to the Accommodation Office

Start your visa application process (if required) as early as possible – find out what the requirements are (such as how much money you need to have in your bank account and for how long) and get in touch with us if you need a supporting letter. All visa applications require a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number. This is issued by AUCB after you have paid your deposit.

When we have sent you details of our Orientation programme (usually in May) return your registration form to the International Office

Look out for our Pre-arrival pack (sent in May or June). This will be send via ‘My Application’ portal.

Send us copies of your results!

Check you have received your Starter Pack

If you are moving into the halls of residence make sure you have requested a bedding pack and ordered other essential items (if required) – see Accommodation
