Course overview

Interior architects play a vital role in improving the spaces we live, work and play in. On this exciting and challenging course you’ll look at how people use those spaces and explore alternative solutions to contemporary design problems. Working in a lively studio environment, you’ll use creative and practical skills to progress from project concept to project presentation. From day one you’ll be a member of a design team, briefed with clear objectives and deadlines. You’ll study technical and free drawing, modelmaking, and digital skills. You’ll explore materials and finishes, texture and colour. You’ll learn about construction techniques, building regulations and health and safety issues. You’ll also look at the importance of presentation skills, client relationships and professional development. In short, you will assume the role of a professional designer and define your direction in this diverse and creative profession. *subject to validation
