Visits and Tours

Educational visits are organised to occur throughout the academic year. At least one trip to London or other UK cultural centre is offered per term. These are subsidised to ensure maximum participation. Bournemouth’s proximity to London enables students to easily arrange visits to galleries and museums in the capital to support their studies. Primary research is fundamental to students’ development as practitioners. Also each year, students have the opportunity to visit a major city abroad. Trips enable students to develop a more extensive and informed understanding of the potential opportunities within contemporary practice beyond the University College. Looking outside of their own environment allows students to be ambitious for their own work and lives. Trips empower students and encourage independence and can offer possibilities for their future career and personal development.

Past study trips have including Prague, Amsterdam, and Barcelona. Staff and students have also attended the bi-annual Colophon magazine symposium in Luxembourg.
