Live Projects
Students on the FdA Digital Media Production course undertake numerous live projects with industry professionals throughout the course. In particular second year students work with a client as part of the unit Professional Project. They negotiate a brief with the client, plan a production schedule and cost their time as part of an overall budget plan before completing a final finished piece of work. In the last year students have worked with Richard Langdon the Official Olympics UK Sailing Team Photographer producing videos for his Ocean Images company. This has involved shoots in the South of France, Amsterdam and Falmouth. In addition students produced a video for the band Bad Company’s single of their World Cup Anthem shown on Sky Sports.
This year students are working with Lighting Designer Mark Cunniffe (Michael Jackson ‘This Is It’, Madonna, REM, David Bowie) on 3D Computer Graphic visualisations of stage sets to take place at the Armenian Opera House in Summer 2011.
