Staff Profiles

Nicola Will is Pathway Leader for the Extended Diploma in Art and Design. Since graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University with BA Hons Contemporary Crafts she has exhibited nationally and continues to work in collaboration for Lord and Wallis to produce hand printed interior products. Most recently she has worked freelance on a number of projects including illustration for the charity Follow That Fire Engine and is currently developing her interest in artist books and bookbinding.

Rachel Larkins is a full time lecturer on the Extended Diploma programme. After graduating in Textile Art, Rachel was based at artists’ studios in Hampshire, making and selling automata, which she continues to exhibit regularly. She is currently developing new work using jewellery techniques having recently completed a course in silversmithing.

Zoe Keeton teaches on Foundation, Year 0, and Extended Diploma with specialism in Fashion, Costume and Textiles. Since graduating from Central St. Martins with a BA (Hons) in Fashion (Womenswear) she worked in the costume industry in London and Birmingham. Job roles included sourcing and fitting historical costumes for stage and screen at Angels and Bermans, and working as Jason Donovan’s dresser for the Rocky Horror Show. Zoe currently designs and makes her own range of accessories and printed garments that sell at outlets locally and nationally.

Jennifer Gillam is a Designer/ Illustrator, graduating from the BA (Hons) Illustration at AUCB in 2007. Jennifer works as a Technician/ Demonstrator for the Extended Diploma in Art and Design within Preparation for Higher Education. Alongside this post she works as a freelance illustrator, and has launched her own brand ‘JenLoves’. This is a range of handmade products featuring her own fabric designs. In 2010 Jennifer won a YCN (Young Creative Network) competition resulting in an exhibition of her work and her work featuring in the YCN Annual.

Robert Harrison is Associate Lecturer on the Extended Diploma in Art and Design programme with over thirty years experience in Art and Design Education in Two Dimensional and Three Dimensional Design specialist areas. Previous employment includes Head of Graphic Design at Chesterfield College Derbyshire, and Course Leader of National Diploma in Fine Art at the Arts Institute Bournemouth. Previous freelance Illustration includes British Airways, Usbourne Books, and Wayland publishers. His current practice is focused upon making bespoke furniture, and solving Individual Interior Design problems.

Sarah Harris is Associate Lecturer on the Extended Diploma in Art and Design. Sarah graduated in Visual Arts and went on to study Fine Art at MA level. Since graduating she has been exploring work using drawing and mark making and pushing this work into the realms of 3D. She has just completed a course in printmaking and is seeking to develop her practice in this area.
