Are you an aspiring writer wishing to explore the potential of the written word?
This creative writing course provides an opportunity for all aspiring writers to develop the skills and techniques for writing fiction. It looks at practical ways to get started, whilst promoting greater writing confidence.
Building upon the unique strengths of each writer, highly practical exercises supported by discussion and examples, will give insight into the creative process and encourage the achievements of writing goals. Emphasis is also placed on developing characters, improving dialogue, descriptive writing, showing not telling, handling point of views, story and plot.
There will be assignments set on developing ideas, finding an authorial voice, and encouraging observational research. You will be encouraged to bring your own work and will receive ongoing constructive feedback from the tutor and the group.
